Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Program Coordinator II for Rutgers Future Scholars. Reporting to and under the supervision of the Senior Program Coordinator, the Associate Chancellor of Civic Engagement at Rutgers Camden and the Rutgers Future Scholars ( RFS ) Director at New Brunswick, this position will have shared responsibility for the coordination of key components of the Rutgers Future Scholars program, a competitive college preparation scholarship program, operated on the Rutgers-Camden campus.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Assists in supervising RFS seasonal and temporary personnel.
Assists in the development and implementation of academic, cultural, and personal development programming for RFS participants and families.
Maintains administrative office duties.
Assists in managing and supporting budget and program reporting.
Maintains accurate records and data.
Supports and foster relationship with RFS Director, the Camden public schools, other RFS sites, partners, and other relevant agencies.

Minimum Education and Experience
Bachelors Degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience, in education, human/youth development, sociology, social work, public policy, science, math, or related technical fields.
Experience working with K-12 students.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge and understanding of program coordination, organization, facilitation, report analysis, writing, and promotion/outreach.
Good communication skills and computer literacy.
Familiarity with current software programs such as Microsoft Office Suite including, Word, Excel, Powerpoint.

Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge and experience working within the community of Camden highly preferred.
Fluency in other languages other than English (Spanish) helpful.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
Fast paced environment and diverse students, families and work colleagues.
Will require evenings and weekend hours.
