NOW HIRING!!!If you love working with all ages and would like to give back to the community, this job is for you!We are looking for a positive, energetic, and responsible referral based candidate to work as a Resident Services Specialist For joint position in Stockton, CA.This position is year round/part time (min.15 hrs/wk). Compensation is negotiable, depending on your experience. Due to COVID-19, the position is currently remote telework.Our Resident Service Specialists (RSS) are responsible for planning and implementing the following programs:The After School Connect Program (ASC) runs week days throughout the school year and summer. It includes but not limited to:Mentoring Homework assistance Music & Art Appreciation Arts and crafts Outdoor games and sports Cooking and nutritional education Social skill development and confidence building exercises
The Living Out Loud-Teen Program (LOL) runs week days throughout the school year and summer. It includes but not limited to:Homework assistance Leadership development Community awareness Recreation Social skill development & Healthy lifestyles
The Learning Curve-Adult Education (LC) are topic driven workshops for Skill Development, Personal Growth, and Health and Wellness classes. It includes but not limited to:Financial literacy Computer training Resume building ESL Nutrition Exercise Health information/awareness Parenting
The ideal candidate for this position should have some experience working with children, teens and adults as well as:Have the ability to be fair and firm, communicate calmly and effectively with all age groups. Be patient and eager to help people. Be dependable with an excellent attendance record. Possess promotion and marketing skills to encourage participation in the weekly programs. Has completed high school, has worked in social services or other human services field. Have a clean DMV record and is capable of clearing a national criminal background check, including fingerprint scans.
