Some requirements may exclude individuals who pose a direct threat or significant risk to the health and safety of themselves or other employees.1. High School graduate and/or equivalent work experience required 2. Two years work related experience preferred 3. Strong communication skills required deal with the public on a daily basis 4. The ability to work in a team environment 5. Must be a creative thinker with strong problem solving skills 6. Strong organizational skills required 7. Mathematical skills required 8. Regular and punctual attendance is required 9. Driver’s license required (CDL is preferred) 10. The scope and duties of this position may change or be temporarily altered based on the business needs of the Cooperative. The basic requirement of every position is to perform all tasks as assigned by your supervisor. This document does not create an employment contract, implied or otherwise, other than an "at will" employment relationship.1. Ensure each portion of the system is inspected on a timeline consistent with company policy and Public Service Commission regulations2. Identify, report, and follow-up on any sub-standard condition/s 3. Communicate with members about sub-standard condition/s for which they are responsible and ensure the condition/s are corrected in a timely manner 4. Assess the condition of poles by sounding and/or boring 5. Document all issues found “Software” 6. Maintain knowledge of RUS construction specifications for overhead and underground facilities as well as various types of distribution equipment 7. Maintain knowledge of National Electric Safety Code (NESC) requirements for distribution facilities 8. Maintain knowledge of National Electric Code (NEC) requirements for service entrance equipment 9. Maintain knowledge of work order process 10. Occasionally provide assistance to staking technicians 11. Design and stake jobs such as, but not limited to, pole replacements, service replacements, service upgrades, outdoor lights, and new extensions 12. Maintain proficiency in reading system maps 13.
