Administrative Assistant (Shipping + Sales Department) Administrative Assistant (Shipping + Sales Department) Curran has been in business 30 years and is a high-end, web-based flooring and home furnishings company that is family-owned and operated. We specialize in outdoor European luxury brands, flooring and indoor home furnishings. Due to COVID-19, many of our teams are working mostly remotely at this time. Due to the nature of the role, this position will be required to report to the office each day. To maintain the safety of all Curran employees, strict adherence to Covid-19 safety regulations will be followed.This pivotal role will be split between our sample department and sales team. It will include receiving and fulfillment of sample orders and sales materials, coordinating small parcel shipments, product support and tracking remittance for web orders. It is our goal to find a person that is motivated to become part of the Curran team long term.YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:Receive and check-in swatch and sales materials into inventory Fulfillment of web and internal sample orders Perform all shipping duties, packing and ensuring accurate documentation for all shipments Prepare small parcel shipments utilizing FedEX, USPS and other shipment portals Enter and process orders in ERP system, from conception to delivery Monitor shipment schedule and remit tracking on product orders Support sales team with material “best match” suggestions and occasional photos Backup the Shipping Manager in day-to-day tasks and special projects. Collaborate with sales team on special requests and/or vendor projects Open and routes incoming mail, answers correspondence and prepares outgoing mail
THIS IS YOU: Strong computer proficiency, along with keen administrative skills across the board Experience operating in a CRM/ERP database (Acumatica, or similar is a plus) Familiarity with MS Suites, Outlook, Trello, Teams and Slack is a plus Focused on great follow-through and has high attention to detail Excellent phone etiquette and overall communication skills, verbal and written Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, and meet deadlines Able to work independently as well as part of a team, feels confident asking for help You embrace small business culture, and are a thoughtful team player (sense of humor is a plus) Have a positive attitude and professional composure, even when it's challenging 2-5 years of proven administrative experience, in support of a product or sales team
