The primary focus of this position is to plan, implement, deliver and evaluate leadership development programs for MSU Extension employees, community members and other stakeholders as needed throughout Montana.

Plan, implement, and evaluate an internal leadership development program for MSU Extension faculty in collaboration with MSU Extension leadership.
Provide leadership and assistance to Extension field faculty in their work to plan, implement, and evaluate local community-based leadership development programs in their communities.
Work closely with Extension faculty, staff and administration to identify educational needs for leadership development in Extension and in Montana communities.
Develop and maintain budgets for internal leadership development program.
Partner and collaborate with other Extension agents and specialists to conduct effective, integrated educational programming focusing on leadership development.
Utilize all available media sources and technologies to communicate with MSU Extension faculty, staff and others as needed.
Required Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills
Master’s degree in a field related to Extension, leadership, or education.
Demonstrated understanding of leadership development theories, principles and practices.
Demonstrated understanding of community development principles and practices.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with community-based groups.
Experience in adult eduation.
Preferred Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills
Demonstrated experience in leadership and community development.
Experience in Extension.
Demonstrated ability to identify, plan, and implement programs in leadership and community development.
Demonstrated ability working with volunteers to implement effective programs.

The successful candidate will possess excellent human relations skills, including effective oral communication abilities; professionalism; evidence of good judgment; flexibility and innovativeness in order to respond to the changing needs of people in MSU Extension and Montana communities.
