Primary Duties and Responsibilities:Reporting to the Executive Director, this role is responsible for developing or recommending changes to our human resource policies and programs for the agency. The HR Manager is expected to devote 80% of their work time to core process activities and 20% to other related responsibilities. HR Core Processes: 80%In coordination with the Executive Director, develop and execute annual work plans designed to achieve both individual team member, leadership team goals as well as agency-wide priorities. Serve as the primary contact manager for talent scouting and interview processes with hiring managers, reference checking and offer letter confirmations Responsible for all aspects of team management including organizational charts, job descriptions, onboarding, policy manual updates, compensation band settings, market comparisons, team engagement, performance and exit reviews Responsible for annual benefits packages changes and annual open enrollment process Ensure compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations and recommend best practice changes Work proactively with agency managers to constructively resolve any team concerns and issues
Collaborative Efforts: 20%Work closely and effectively with Relate’s Leadership Team, Supervisors and Team members and Board Members to expand talent identification, key local University relations, professional development and enhance team engagement Provide visible leadership across the entire organization as a member of the Leadership Team by engaging in organization-wide activities such as all-staff meetings, and staff events
Experience, Skills and Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree and seven to ten years demonstrated ability to successfully run or manage core HR processes especially team recruitment, development and engagement including critical diversity, equity and inclusion efforts Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to articulate clearly policies exercising a balance between diplomacy and advocacy Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to create strong professional relationships with colleagues, staff, board members Ability to effectively and authentically represent the interests and priorities of the organization. Strategic, hardworking, and able to work with a high degree of flexibility in a highly-collaborative environment. Ability to effectively work with volunteer boards to assist with HR development and to advance support for the organization.
Preferred Requirements:Significant history (more than five years) of successfully managing HR processes for area organizations Experience working at various sized nonprofits with Microsoft Office products Strong commitment to providing access for families to community mental health services Master’s degree in HR field.
