Summary Performs accounting functions according to established procedures or as directed by the Accounting MangerLoans for , or other Bank accounting management by performing the following duties. Duties and Responsibilities include the following : Perform daily reconciliation of the Loan Control and/or Clearing General Ledger Accounts applying appropriate accounting policies/practices in a consistent and timely manner; identifying outages and ensuring necessary entries are made to bring the account into balance.
Monitors the Interface Balancing Report daily to ensure loan applications and related general ledger accounts are in balance; researching outages and ensuring necessary entries and loan corrections are made to bring the account(s) into balance.
Monitors the fee related error codes on the Loan Maintenance Cross Check report; performs a review of the loans identified to determine what entries caused the error and ensuring corrections/adjustments are made to the fees to resolve the errors.
Records daily purchases and sales of mortgage loans, utilizing mortgage software and information systems to ensure entries are posted accurately.
Balances purchases and sales to incoming and outgoing wire transfers and funds remittances.
Records daily warehouse lending activity, utilizing the warehouse lending software and information systems to ensure entries are posted accurately.
Utilizes technology systems such as Blackline, IBS, and Peoplesoft.
Reconcile and monitor other general ledger accounts as requested.
Assists with month-end accounting entries as requested.
Works on other accounting tasks and projects as requested.
Works on ad-hoc projects which require a fundamental accounting knowledge, at times with little supervision.
Backs up other functions within accounting as needed.
Prepares reports and requests as needed for examiners and auditors.

Education and/or Experience Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from accredited four-year college or university in Business Administration required, with emphasis in Accounting or Finance preferred. Two years accounting and/or related banking experience preferred. Computer Skills To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of the Internet, Outlook, Microsoft Word and Excel; and a working knowledge of the Bank’s core system IBS. Ability to use basic office machines. Other Skills Thorough knowledge and understanding of basic accounting principles necessary. Knowledge of overall banking functions and ability to assist employees in other divisions with various accounting-related functions. Must understand the basics of accounting and preparing and recording journal entries. Must understand basic financial statements.
