Job Description Mold Maintenance and Tooling- Waxes, cleans inspects and maintain molds. Sand molds and applies wax in between pulls and does any patching and repair work.
We offer a first shift, 5:30am – 4pm, Monday – Thursday with Overtime available on Friday and pay is $13-$20/hour, DOE.
Responsible for receiving and prepping the molds for gelcoat.
Requires buffing and waxing large parts.
Responsible for making sure a mold is ready to move on to production.
Will be working with hands in hot environment.
Be able to use small hand tools to include: grinders, sanders, screwdrivers, drills, scissors, razor knife etc.
Will be involved in the construction of new molds for the production line.
Keep work area clean and orderly.
Inspects all parts so that they are complete and up to quality standards.
Qualifications Previous experience with molds or autobody repairs a plus.
Must be able to work effectively as an individual or with a team.
Must be able to perform tasks under time pressure deadlines.
Must have strong attention to detail.
Follow instruction of Supervisor/foreman/lead.
The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand.
Understand written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.Manage one’s own time and respecting the time of others.
The ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong.
Working concept of prototypes.
Must be familiar with gelcoat spraying, the lamination process, and bondo applications.
Knowledge of production processes and quality control.
Tools used in this occupation include but are not limited to: Personal Protective Equipment- Safety Glasses, may need a half- mask or dust/mist respirator and tyvek protection suit.
Hand Tools- Rollers, sanders, buffers, screwdrivers, drills, razor knife and scissors.
