We are a high-end, multi-disciplinary clinic offering physical therapy, chiropractic, spinal decompression and shockwave therapy in beautiful Montecito, CA. We are looking for compassionate self-motivated individual to join our team. Prior experience working with patients in a chiropractic or physical therapy office is preferred but not required; on the job training will be provided. Medical Assistants, Physical Therapy Aides and Assistants are encouraged to apply.Hours are part-time Mon-Fri. Job DescriptionGeneral Summary: Responsible for assisting the Physician and Physical Therapists with back office therapy. Exhibits the four core values of respect, integrity, innovation and compassion.Duties and Responsibilities:Primary function is to assist Doctor of Chiropractic and Physical Therapists by performing all back office therapy as directed by Dr. Bissell Administers vitals for all new patients & takes health history. Takes brief histories on all returning patients, documents changes, recognizes and alerts doctors of key warning signs. Administers patient treatments including Shockwave Therapy, Spinal Decompression, Electrical Muscle Stim and Ultrasound. Rooms patients, sets up with heat or other modalities. Directs doctor with patient flow Completes all SOAP notes for Dr. Bissell’s patients, types SOAP notes in computer and enters vitals, medications & allergies in appropriate E.H.R sections of Eclipse. Maintains charts & creates new ones. Filing additional papers in charts as needed & making copies. Responsible for cleanliness of treatment rooms (empty trash, change pillowcases, clean tables) and organization of back office supplies (fill ultrasound gel bottles, folding laundry & stocking rooms with gowns, pens, electrodes, towels etc.) Coordinate patient care- follow-up phone calls, referrals to other doctors, tracking radiology reports & appointments. Answer phones and schedule patients when Front Office Manager is on the phone or away from the desk. Back up Office Manager as needed- daily deposit, charging patients & obtaining pre-authorization for tests & other miscellaneous duties

Be sensitive to patient needs and the image we portray. Requires dealing with varied personalities with diplomacy and patience. It is essential to be goal oriented with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple workloads.Qualifications:High School Graduate Strong computer skills; proficient in all MS Office products Strong typing skills Verbal and written communication skills. Experience working with Facebook and LinkedIn a plus
