About the Position: The mission of the Corpus Christi Army Depot is to overhaul, repair, modify, retrofit, test and modernize helicopters, engines and components for all services and foreign military customers. Corpus Christi Army Depot (CCAD) is the Army's Center of Industrial and Technical Excellence for Rotary Wing Aviation Maintenance. We provide worldwide on-site maintenance services, aircraft crash analysis, lubricating oil analysis, and chemical, metallurgical and training support. Responsibilities
Under the direction of a Supervisor/Leader, perform progressively larger range of engine assembly up to Aircraft Engine Repairer.
Perform standard and routine assembly and disassembly or aircraft engines and accessories.
Utilize basic measuring devices along with maintenance bulletins, in order to meet work requirements.
Occasional travelYou may be expected to travel 5% for this position.

Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background Tier 1 Low Risk investigation.
This position is subject to a pre-employment screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.
This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.

Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of anAircraft Engine Repairer Helper without more than normal supervision. The ability to perform common Aircraft Engine Repairer Helper tasks to include utilizing basic measuring devices and interpreting technical orders in relation to aircraft engines and assemblies. Performing routine disassembly along with limited assembly operations of aircraft engines, engine assemblies, and accessories. Working under supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed.- Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating.
Physical EffortsFrequently handle objects weighing up to 35 pounds without assistance, and over 35 pounds with assistance from another worker or weight handling equipment. This worker is required to lift, reach, bend, walk, pull, sit, and stand for prolonged periods of time.
Working ConditionsWorks inside shop areas having adequate light, ventilation, and safety controls. The worker is exposed to loud noise; to the possibility of injury from handling equipment or from moving parts. Various protective devices such as ear plugs, face shield, gloves, safety shoes, and safety glasses are used. Working conditions have been considered in the evaluation of the position.
This job does not have an education qualification requirement.
Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.

Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
Direct Deposit of Pay is required.
