The Mission of NEPA Inclusive is to help create and support inclusive and sustainable lives for people with disabilities.Help make a difference in the life of a person with a disability. This role includes helping an adult female with a disability to live an inclusive life in the community including assisting in communication using American Sign Language, SEE, or Pidgin. Moderate level of independence. Develop and maintain positive open communication with individual, family and other service agencies.This is a full time or part time position. Individual must be familiar or fluent in American Sign Language, SEE, or Pidgin, Intermediate Level preferred. Experience working with people with disabilities preferred. Competitive rate of pay, mileage reimbursement, and paid training.Students encouraged with entry level skills willing to continue improving skills.Responsibilities:Follow the Individual Support Plan utilizing ASL in the community and advocating for Accommodations Submit your paperwork timely and accurately. Plan activities for the client in the community. Communicate with the Inclusive Waiver Supervisor regularly. Other duties as assigned. Assist with cooking, cleaning, and transportation Companionship
Requirements:High School Diploma or GED. Ability to submit Clearances timely. Valid Car Insurance and Driver's Registration. Must attend our initial training before going into the field. Working with autism and / or intellectually developmentally delayed clients preferred, but not required. Trustworthy, honesty, and dependability

Experience:American Sign Language: 1 year (Preferred) DSP: 1 year (Preferred)
License:Driver's License (Required)
Language:American Sign Language (Required)
Duties:Reading, writing, and carrying out directions Charting or taking notes for others to review Providing companionship and supportive listening Reporting changes in the health or status of the client Maintaining patient’s health equipment Responding to emergency situations Transporting client to appointments Facilitating community and recreational outings, including transport Providing support with hobbies, studies, and social activities
