This position is integral in supporting the maintenance and continuous improvement of the university’s administrative and reporting systems, including finance, HR, and budgeting. This position, as part of the business analysis team, is responsible for supporting a continuous business process improvement methodology and leveraging the quarterly updates to roll out new functionality. This position assists business process teams in conducting operational and process analysis. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Act as designated liaison throughout campus in performing process design and analysis, provide system and business process solutions for issues through the implementation lifecycle, including gather requirements, conduct and document fit-gap, design and perform test scripts, and confirm functional owner understanding, approval and final sign off. Encourage a culture that embraces a continuous process improvement methodology.
Respond promptly to end user and functional leads questions via email and the ticketing system. Provide first response to system problems. Work with Executive Business Analysts to resolve issues, looking for creative ways to resolve the issue.
Draft communications, training materials, and other documentation as needed to support the Business Process Analyst and Executive Business Analysts.
Create, edit, and test reports and analyses and dashboards for administrative and/or field departmental use.
Focus on creating efficiencies through both system functionality and business processes. Work with the Executive Business Analysts to utilize the system to create further business process and system efficiencies. Professionally question the status quo—respectfully asking questions to understand true needs.
Responsible for finishing tasks in an independent manner; coordinate with functional leads and users across divisions and campus to ensure assigned tasks are complete in a quality manner.
Pursue learning, training and educational opportunities, learning more about the administrative system and techniques for optimization and system enhancements.
Learn from and shadow the Executive Business Analysts to learn about configurations and workflow.
Successfully manage multiple initiatives and priorities in a fast-paced collaborative environment, willing to be responsive and change priorities with little notice.
Engage in benchmarking and reviewing the system to see if enhancements and changes are producing predicted effects.
Train staff in use of business systems and hardware/software platforms

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Management Information Systems, Computer Science or related field Experience:1 year of work-related experience or related internship DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience working with end users and answering questions/helping people resolve issues
Experience troubleshooting
Ability to learn, both indpendently as as part of a team
Experience with the system development lifecycle
