Job Title: Facilities Supervisor
Department: Operations
Reports to: Operations Manager
Exemption Status: Hourly Non-Exempt

Under minimal supervision, with only priority-oriented direction, this Employee must self-perform various and routine maintenance tasks, organize required tasks for timely completion, monitor the successful completion of tasks requiring an outside subcontractor (used only as a last resort or if a licensed professional is required), supervise additional facility maintenance operations, employees and/or other individuals, while maintaining the safest, cleanest, most presentable and maintained environment as possible on a daily basis.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Include the following: (Other duties may be assigned)Plan, prioritize, assign, supervise, review, and participate in the work of staff responsible for facility maintenance. Maintains time and attendance records. Completes employee evaluations.

Evaluates functionality and reliability of facility systems and associated equipment by conferring with operating departments; identifying problems and requirements.

Self-Perform a wide variety of building maintenance tasks involving electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall and painting and HVAC.

Participate in the preparation and administration of the facility maintenance budget, submit budget recommendations, monitor expenditures, prepare cost estimates, and submit justifications for equipment.

Conduct staff meetings and coordinate training in facility maintenance and safety methods, procedures, and techniques.

Monitor all work by staff with Supervisor and report to Executive staff.
Coordinate construction projects, remodels, and other special projects. Resolves problems encountered on job sites and make sure all Safety and Security precautions are followed.
Stay up-to-date with daily and monthly reports.

Education and/or Experience
Skilled maintenance work and repair experience related to facility buildings and grounds, including but not limited to: fixing, testing, and maintaining all systems, structures, equipment, and tools to the highest level possible.
Preferred Associate Degree
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)/ Bachelor’s Degree. Can be post hire.
Willingness to obtain and maintain proficiency in Isaiah House policy, procedures, and programs.
Experience in crisis intervention and conflict resolution skills, such as effective verbal intervention , and skills to resolve conflict with confidence, competence, and respect.
Language Skills
Ability to efficiently, accurately, and precisely comprehend and relay information from and in a variety of formats.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, spoken, or diagram form. Ability to plan and schedule effectively and efficiently.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have proficient knowledge with Microsoft
Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook; able to learn other software programs as necessary.
Physical Demands
Must have the use of sensory skills in order to effectively communicate and interact with other employees and the public through the use of the telephone and personal contact as normally defined by the ability to see, read, talk, hear, handle or feel objects and controls. Physical capability to effectively use and operate various items of office related equipment, such as, but not limited to, a personal computer, calculator, copier, and fax machine. It will be your responsibility to assist the house manager in all work. Any and all sub contract work set up by the IH. As such you will have a working knowledge of these projects in order to train all staff and/or clients. You will represent the Isaiah House in all acquired work with honesty and integrity. You will assist in maintaining and establishing all current and new relationships with any and all possible sub contract work. You will be responsible for working with the clients to ensure we have all the proper training aids and OSHA regulations and requirements in place on the job site as well as campus.

Any employee wishing to resign is required to furnish a written notice of such intention addressed to the employee’s immediate supervisor and the Human Resources Department. All employees are entitled to all earned, unpaid salary. All termination pay will be distributed to the employee on the payday following the termination.
