Tehama Golf Club is a private golf club in Carmel Valley. Immediate opening for an Event Sales Assistant who will be responsible for providing support to the Event Sales Manager by assisting with event operations to include weddings, social and corporate functions.Job Duties: Manage email correspondence with inquiries by providing venue details and pricing information for events with prompt responsesAnswer the phone, route calls and take detailed messagesMaintain contact with current and future clientsAssist with creating Banquet Event Order (BEOs) and diagramsInteract with managers and associates to disseminate information about groups/functions and answer general questionsCreate and ensure that all presentation packets are complete and available at all timesUpdate calendar with tentative and definite eventsProvide and/or facilitate site tours with prospects and clientsAssist with rental orders and processing vendor invoicesResponsible for creating and organizing computer event files and physical foldersPrepare event menus and display cardsAssist with day of coordination for eventsSkills & Qualifications: Able to work weekends (Friday and Saturday a must)Must be extremely organized with strong administrative, written and communication skillsProficient in MS Office programsCatering software experience preferred but not requiredMust be flexible and have the ability to multi-task and manage several projects at a timeAble to adapt quickly to changing priorities and accomplish projects with minimal supervisionCapable of prioritizing and allocating resources efficiently to meet deadlinesMust be able to complete and meet demanding timelinesAble to work at a fast pace, staying focused and working efficientlyMust be able to communicate clearly, effectively and professionally with guests, management and coworkersFantastic customer service, work ethic and high expectations for qualityDetailed orientedTeamwork, Participation & Attitude: Participate in a culture that is based on positive attitude, open communication and conversation that promotes team building, a rewarding atmosphere and high level of moraleSupport all departments by creating an exceptional guest experienceBe a team player and lead by exampleEager to learnSchedule: Monday or Tuesday, Fridays and Saturdays.Education: High school diploma or equal to a GEDOther requirements as condition of employment: Willing to undergo a background checkJob Type: Part-timePay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hourBenefits:Employee assistance program
