DESCRIPTION:
This role has direct responsibility of Wood / Laminate and Accessories finished goods material data, and integrity between all internal systems, where finished goods are replicated. As product lead specialist, this positions often works under the guidance and direction of the Supervisor, on needs specific to Master Data, product launches, new customer programs, and other related topics.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serve as a data specialist for new product development and launches, which includes keying in the data required for, set-up of Product Master Data and Customer Data Work with product managers to identify required information and advice, as well as challenge implications related to factors such as geographic implications, product surface, and dimensions needed that impact Sales and Logistics.


Create finished good materials used for production in SAP, that once confirmed will transfer over into CAMS warehouse / sales order systems automatically.
Maintain and identify areas for synchronization improvement through data Quality queries between AS400 and SAP, when changes are necessary.
Develop, document and maintain best practices, project standards, procedures at the direction of the supervisor.
Knowledge of multiple MDM areas such as product, customer, salesman, and item master.
Create new, finished good materials
Create new SAP Bill of Material, routings, and production versions.
Make changes as necessary to existing materials and mark materials as dropped / for deletion / out status (help control life cycle).
Pull reports from SAP query tables pertaining to MDM to analyze dimensions and price value per pallet, with Finance
Work directly with Wood / Laminate and Accessories Project Management and Planning teams on new set up / launches / new product types. Maintain the project plan and update on regular basis, which includes action items for MDM, Quality, Product Group, and Finance.


QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) is required. Demonstration of continuing education/training is required, whether through the course of work role or personal development. An Associate degree is preferred.

Working knowledge of SAP, and Microsoft Office is required.
1-3 years of experience in product management-related role, manufacturing, planning, or customer service

Must have strong organizational skills and problem-solving capabilities and be detail oriented; ability to communicate with others and escalate/de-escalate as necessary
Must be able to multi-task, meet scheduled deadlines and manage time effectively
Must be an effective team member, role model and able to influence others without a direct reporting relationship
Ability to tailor training and learning initiatives to various learning styles and audiences
Ability to work with limited direction, and perform independent actions and decisions
Strong analytical skills to review data, understand complex requirements, and compare/contrast options to make the best decision, as well as guide others to do so.
Strong active listening skills to understand and communicate needs, as well as provide resolution
