Opportunity for a ground floor position in a company with rapid growing demand.The general extraction labor position will assist in the management and operations of the extraction department. This includes creating the necessary type products and fulfilling the necessary quality from batch to batch. This position will work closely to ensure equipment is maintained regularly and raw materials meet the necessary specifications.Responsibilities and DutiesConduct mandatory inspections and training both in security and safety. Cleaning of equipment and laboratory facility. Raw material preparation (milling) Keeping up to date on industry innovation, equipment and methods. understanding of state tracking software Maintaining strict inventory records of raw materials, chemicals, and equipment. Washing and sterilization of laboratory glassware and equipment. Perform some administrative tasks, such as documenting all machine maintenance, making equipment orders, and improving or developing safety guidelines for equipment use. Basic computer skills, since process technicians are typically required to use programs such as Microsoft Word or Excel to document activities and use the internet to communicate with other staff. Enforcing a culture of safety and attention to detail. Gramming, packaging, and final preparation for sales. Help with candidate search for assistant lab technicians Ability to Train and assist team members Apply scientific techniques, procedures, or methodologies to complete tasks Establish specialized research protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for extraction of active compounds from plant tissues, optimization of such procedures, and application of those procedures to extract large quantities plant tissues Maintain detailed and organized lab notebooks and research files Effectively communicate results to both technical and non-technical personnel Interact with business team members to address technical or regulatory questions and provide solutions to problems. Qualifications and SkillsUniversity degree in Engineering, Sciences or related fields (not required) 2 years in a related role. HAVE A PASSION FOR THE CANNABIS INDUSTRY Experience with various extraction techniques Prior work experience in a laboratory setting or production environment would be desirable. Must be detail oriented with an eye on process improvement and optimization. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multi task, and to be flexible Ability to push, pull, or lift heavy weights (100lbs or more); Sitting, squatting, standing, kneeling, bending, or walking through the workday. Must understand OSHA guidelines for workplace safety and hazardous chemicals. Strong leadership abilities Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong organizational skills Ability to work well under pressure Must demonstrate strong team skills Self motivated and detail-oriented. Metric experience and training. MUST HAVE A VALID OLCC MARIJUANA WORKERS PERMIT Must be 21 years of age Reliable transportation, clean driving record, and insured Must be located in the Columbia River Gorge
