Please paste this URL into your browser to apply: https://forms.gle/bGFP5Dw9fVPnt67F6 ________________________________________________ Sports & Special Events Sales Athletes In Action The Athletes in Action Sports Complex and Retreat Center (SCRC) is a hub for local and international sports ministry on a stunning 250-acre property in Xenia, OH. This combination of outdoor sports fields, dormitories, challenge course, and banquet center (in addition to the soon-to-be constructed indoor fieldhouse) will attract more than 300,000 annual guests to the Athletes in Action Campus. While participating in such hosted events as tournaments, team retreats, camps, and conferences, sports-minded individuals will learn what it means to compete as a Total Athlete (embracing the intersection of physical, mental, and spiritual components to play with greater motivation and live with a greater purpose in mind). The primary role of the Sales and Service Manager is to develop new and maintain current client relationships to stimulate use of facility space including the Conference Center and Dorms for both missional and financial impact. This position will coordinate SCRC hospitality and event management for groups utilizing the Sports Complex, Conference, and Banquet Center services in order to provide the best possible customer experience. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following: Achieve yearly sales goals for the Sports Complex, Conference Center (dorms and meeting space) and the Banquet Center, primarily through church, community and corporate groups
Serve as the primary contact for designated groups utilizing the Conference and Banquet Centers
Coordinate housing, meeting, and food service needs
Maintain and develop client relationships, tracking feedback and success of events through communication while securing leads for future clients
Develop customer sales proposals
Effectively and efficiently finalize sales contracts
Communicate and coordinate effectively with the SCRC team in support of event customer service goals
Market the property utilizing social media & digital resources, create content plans that articulate the goal of AIA to develop athletes & coaches spiritually, mentally and physically
Maintain and provide accurate reports as needed, and develop and maintain sales analytics
Demonstrate personal spiritual discipline and assist in the development of an environment on the team where individual team members grow in their Christian walks

ABILITY TO: Develop and maintain client relationships, resulting in executed contracts for available activities/services
Effectively implement a disciplined sales process
Skillfully organize and administrate multiple project and job assignments
Present a good image of the campus (both verbally and in activity)
Display a positive attitude toward associates, management, AIA staff and guests
Be a self-starter Initiator
Receive direction
Communicate effectively both orally and in writing
Analyze situations accurately and determine an effective course of action

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor Degree plus 3-5 years in the hospitality and sales industry or similar sales position with a proven track record of successful results, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Modern office practices, procedures and equipment
Effective oral and written communication skills
Interpersonal skills using tact, patience and courtesy
