You will serve as the Regional Fee Program Analyst located in the Budget and Finance Office of the Alaska Regional Office (AKRO) as the Alaska Region (AKR) financial and program expert with oversight and technical direction for recreational and related "fee expenditure projects" throughout the AKR. AKR has a highly complex and evolving recreation fee program that collects non-appropriated revenue. You will provide advisory, coordinating and review services to the parks in the AKR and functions as a subject matter expert to assist parks, coordinate the activities of others or brokers for services to meet the needs of parks, WASO or the Region.

You will be required to operate a government (or private) motor vehicle as part of your official duties; a valid driver's license is required. Credit will be given for all appropriate qualifying experience. To qualify for this position at the GS-12 grade level, you must possess the following minimum qualifications by close of the announcement:
EXPERIENCE: At least one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-11 grade level in the federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors). Specialized experience is experience which has equipped you with knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position and that is typically in or related to the work of this position. Examples of specialized experience may include: oversight, coordination and/or technical direction for fee-based expenditure projects; compiling and analyzing complex budget and financial data for cost estimating, scheduling and project planning; developing, analyzing and approving fee projects in Project Management Information System (PMIS) or similar project management programs; developing procedures and program guidelines for expenditures of revenues; and/or developing management principles and practices in conjunction with policies and procedures for general Government accounting and revenues. You must include the number of hours worked per week in your resume.
Volunteer Experience: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Physical Demands: The work is primarily sedentary and involves working in an office environment. There will be some walking, standing, bending, carrying of light items, and driving an automobile. Incumbent will be expected to travel, meet with Park staff and walk to review on-going or proposed projects during annual reviews/site visit. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.
Working Conditions: Most work is performed in an office environment, with annual trips to AKR parks, and other offices and communities. The environment requires normal safety precautions typical of offices, meeting rooms, or vehicles.
The National Park Service has determined that the duties of this position are suitable for occasional / situational telework and the selectee may be allowed to telework with prior supervisory approval.
