Go to https://www.mescpas.com/ to learn more about our firm and its team members or check us out on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/MESCPAS.Job Description Summary: The administrative assistant position will have a great work ethic, strong organizational, time management and communication skills, be self-motivated, and be proficient in Microsoft Office 365 and Adobe Acrobat. The position must be comfortable working in a paperless environment and working with the public.Responsibilities, Tasks and Duties: Answering incoming calls and route as appropriate
Greeting clients and visitors
Processing incoming and outgoing mail
Managing calendars for firm staff
Summarize and prepare emails and documents for internal and external purposes
Prioritize and manage workflow for accountants and CPA’s
Preparing and mailing tax organizers
Processing individual and business income tax returns, financial statements, and other outgoing client documents
Scanning documents in paperless environment
Delivery of final tax returns to clients
Electronically file income tax returns
Exercise discretion and judgement when working with confidential client matters
Be actively involved in the Mankato community and participate in civic groups
Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications: Education: high school degree or equivalent
Basic understanding of Microsoft Office 365 environment
Includes Teams, Outlook, Word and Excel

Basic understanding, ability to work in, and willingness to learn multiple software platforms, applications and integration of systems
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with attention to spelling and grammar
Ability to provide excellent internal and external customer service
Professional appearance and telephone manner are essential
Organized, meets deadlines, able to work efficiently with interruptions, carefully proofs own work, detail oriented and thorough
Effective and efficient time management skills
Excellent interpersonal skills with high initiative, flexibility, and team approach to work

Experience: Public Accounting Firm: 0+ years
Wolters Kluwer Axcess Suite of Products: will train
Microsoft Office 365: 3+ years
Client Service: 3+ years

Job Hours: Full-Time – additional hours during tax planning and tax season – 55+ per weekSpring/Summer/Fall – 40 hours

Office Location: Mankato, MNTravel: Occasional travel to the Hutchinson OfficeSalary/Compensation and Benefits: Hourly positionPosition is benefit eligible.We are an equal opportunity employer.
