Opportunity is knocking! Start an exciting career with an industry leader. 711 Materials is looking for a Rock Plant Equipment Operator who will be responsible for safely operating heavy equipment to ensure that the plant meets all production and efficiency goals. This position will also be responsible for ensuring that the plant equipment receives adequate maintenance in a timely manner.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Operate heavy equipment such as front end loader, scraper, excavator and dozer
Perform weigh-master duties as needed, while operating the plant
Capable of carrying grade, effectively moving dirt and accurately loading trucks
Complete equipment repairs and maintenance
Complete plant preventative maintenance duties and plant repairs.
Lift and carry 50 lb loads
Supply own hand tools
Read meters, gauges, and automatic recording devices
Perform visual inspections at specified intervals to verify proper operating conditions
Operate and inspect hoppers, air compressors, generators, and motors to produce stationary engines and mechanical equipment such as conveyor systems, dust control equipment, blowers, bins, and the applicable product produced by the operation.
Visually inspects equipment at periodic intervals to detect malfunctions, repair needs, adjustments or lubrication, and report data to appropriate personnel or performs necessary maintenance on subject equipment by tightening fittings, oiling and lubricating equipment, repacking bearings and gaskets, replacing or repairing conveyor components, gauges, or other components, or other maintenance operations applicable to the proper operation of the rock plant.

EDUCATION and/or WORK EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or GED certificate preferred.
Ability to understand oral and written instructions relating to products.
2 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Demonstrated ability to be self-directed, with minimal supervision.
Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Walking and standing 10% of the time, also in modifiable position.
Lifting from the waist up and carrying items weighing up to 50 lbs during the day.
Reaching for items of negligible weight frequently during the day, often requiring full-length arms’ reach. Includes the ability to reach overhead shelves and push/pull drawers.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
Tactile sensory requirements include the ability to use hands and fingers to feel, handle or operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.
The employee is occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and walk.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate when in the equipment, or moderately loud when in the field.
While on the job site, frequent exposure to dirt, dust, heat, cold, noise, fumes, odors, wetness/humidity, vibration, and sometimes darkness or poor lighting.
While on the job sites, exposure to the elevated workplace, mechanical hazards, explosives, electrical hazards, and fire hazards.
