Care Plus NJ, Inc. Job Description
Job Title : Accounting Clerk Reports to : Controller Department : Finance
I. Summary of PositionRecords payments to general ledger and maintains cash receipts records by performing the following duties.

II. Performance ResponsibilitiesAlthough each position has its own unique duties and responsibilities, the following listing applies to every employee of Care Plus NJ: Works toward accomplishing department/agency goals
Maintains confidentiality and immediately reports to management breaches in confidentiality
Practices job requirements on an accurate, timely and regular basis
Observes and maintains appropriate professional boundaries with clients, co-workers and supervisors
Attends all scheduled meetings as assigned
Meets relevant continuing educational/training requirements
Completes all required documentation/paperwork accurately and within established time-frames
Accurately and on a timely basis completes tasks required by the agency's time collection system

III. Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesIncludes the following and other duties may be assigned: Assists supervisor with daily operations and assures functions are accurately performed and completed
Prepares daily cash deposits
Responsible for data entry of all cash receipts and maintains records in the Finance Department
Enters finalized cash receipts and updates accounts receivable ledger
Files check stubs and bank receipts
Researches and processes bad checks
Collects rent and cable receipts and maintains the records
Assists with related special projects, as required
Process electronic insurance payments
