Job Title: Training and Development HR CoordinatorReports to: Human Resources ManagerFLSA Status: Non-ExemptPosition Description: Administers, tracks, organizes, and conducts company training programs for Human Resources, Clerical, Supervisory and Technical staff.Major Responsibilities Include: Writes material for new training programs; reviews, evaluates, and modifies existing and proposed programs, and recommends appropriate changes. Plan and conduct new hire orientation Prepare pre-employment paperwork for new hires Print up business cards for staff Administers and evaluates training program qualification tests and determines eligibility of prospective attendees. Prepares and distributes training aids such as instructional material, handouts, evaluation forms, and visual aids; sets up audiovisual equipment; and makes presentations when necessary. Contacts attendees and department representatives about training programs. Schedules the appropriate classroom and prepares the physical setup. Other duties as needed.
Other duties: Occasionally assess training elements and alternatives, including minor research. Occasionally modify methods and procedures or plan and establish new methods and procedures. May train new employees and assist management personnel.
Educational Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. At least 2 years’ related experience. Ability to communicate with company employees, trainers from other companies, professional training group members, and consultants by phone, in person, or through correspondence. Ability to perform duties with minimal direction.
Experience/Technical/Other Skills Requirements: Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft products to include excel. Effective oral and written communication Advanced knowledge of various employment laws and practices Experience in training software and other HR programs Excellent interpersonal skills Skills in database management and record keeping Able to exhibit a high level of confidentiality High level of problem-solving skills- skillful analytical ability
Physical Demands: The candidate is regularly required to sit, use hands and arms to reach and lift up to 30 pounds. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Ability to handle small hand tools, power tools, and operate all production equipment. Must be able to perform same duties that all production personnel perform.This position may require exposure to information, which is subject to US export control regulations, i.e. the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
